Final chance to see Warminster’s WWI Exhibition
“This is the best tribute I have ever seen” commented a visitor from Co. Durham who spoke to stewards about how the WWI exhibition in Warminster Civic Centre had surpassed others he had visited. Entries in the Visitors Book pay testament to how moving and informative the exhibition is. The personal focus on the men and women from Warminster and the surrounding villages who lost their lives during the war is particularly poignant for those visitors who have lived in the area for many years and have seen the names of their families on the many newspaper reports that form part of the exhibition.
There is a limited time left to experience this glimpse into the dreadful experiences of life in the trenches and the enormity of the conflict, as the exhibition closes at 1pm on Friday 22 August. “I urge everyone to try and find the time to visit”, said Councillor Sue Fraser. “People will be amazed at what they will learn.”
